I generally like following tumblelogs that revolve around sexuality and that show the person has a unique way of looking at the topic, to whatever degree. I like sites that include a few thoughts from the person who posted the entry, particularly if it’s a photo post.
There are oodles of tumblelogs out there that include endless streams of erotic photos with absolutely no sign that thinking human beings are behind the posts. Who needs that? I’d rather spend my time checking out sites like The Steve or Ephemera. And Luminol adds music!
In rare instances, I do make exceptions. If the tumblelog does not usually include any commentary but features unique and interesting images, then I will probably follow it. A good example of this is Bunny Grrl’s site.
